The magic of Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE)! This program is fantastic for uniting cultures, making new friendships, and global connections.
Our club has been busy with RYE this week. On Friday, Ambre from France arrived. She is being sponsored by Whangaparaoa Rotary and hosted by Warren and then Hayley from North Shore Rotary, which clearly demonstrates our club’s hospitality and support for the RYE program.
On Sunday, we farewelled Clara; she arrived home safely to much excitement from her family. Victoire arrived from France in the early hours of Monday morning, and William arrived from Denmark in the late hours of Monday.
Our club member, Hayley, is a former RYE student to France. She is currently in France with her family and has reported to us, ‘Last night, I was fortunate to attend a Rotary meeting of my host club in Ancenis, France—it was great to catch up with the Rotarians and all my host families!’
